Cheyenne, Wyoming. There may be a recession, but rodeos are booming. Attendance is up 12 per cent for the two major US rodeo circuits, the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Professional Bull Riders, an increase mainly attributed to the cheap tickets (about $10). But as Andy Stewart, a rodeo announcer, explains, there are other reasons for rodeo's success: "There's victory and there's victory and there's defeat. Blood. It's everything you want in entertainment."
